The Program

As a classical school that educates children from preschool all the way through 12th grade, we have worked hard to develop a rich curriculum that builds upon itself logically and incrementally from year to year.

In Immaculata’s preschool and pre-k classes, children develop their intellectual and motor skills through an array of excellent programs. We use “Sing, Spell, Read and Write” along with the Memoria Press phonics curriculum to build a strong foundation in reading, writing and comprehension skills, as well as an advanced math program that prepares children well for kindergarten. A variety of daily read-alouds, songs, and activity centers further enrich the learning experience. Sacred music and the Ward Method (which begins in kindergarten) are an important part of the life of our school, and our preschool/pre-k children begin their musical training by coming together every day to sing lively and educational songs.

One of Immaculata’s strengths is our religious education, and the preschool and pre-k classes are no exception. To hear our three-year-olds responding in unison to basic catechism questions such as “Who is God?” and “Why did God make you?” fills the heart with joy! Additionally, because Latin plays such a crucial role in Immaculata’s curriculum, the preschool/pre-k children are exposed to the language through prayer and sacred music, in their classrooms, at meals, and with the entire school at our weekly Mass.

Immaculata's excellent program and experienced teachers provide children with a strong foundation that prepares them not only for kindergarten and the rest of our rigorous classical curriculum, but most importantly, for their ultimate goal of becoming saints!
